Dingoes snagged – hook, line and sinker!
Fishing equipment is ensnaring dingoes on K’gari (formerly Fraser Island) and causing serious injuries to the island’s iconic residents. The Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (DESI) is receiving regular reports about dingoes being snagged by hooks and lures or becoming tangled in fishing line.

Wongari Rescued from Crab Pot
Rangers on K’gari (Fraser Island) are accustomed to hearing the wongari (dingo) howl, so when they heard the recent cries from a juvenile, they knew it was in trouble.
