Cane Toad Rodeo: FIDO’s first toad busting on K’gari
Following negotiations between FIDO president, Zela Bissett and the management of Kingfisher Resort, FIDO were offered two rooms for two nights during from 20-22 March with Zela and her partner Glen Hills, and Sandra and Navin Naidoo spending two nights at Kingfisher Bay Resort working on cane toad reduction.

FINIA Field Trip 2025
It is incredible to think that this year, marks 20 years since the formation of FINIA and their first weed workshop held on K’gari. Weeds and biosecurity are still a massive (and growing) issue for the World Heritage property and an area that concerns many of our partners.

Consensus-Building on K’gari’s Fire Management
The University of the Sunshine Coast has received Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Funding (QRRRF) to facilitate a three-day workshop to gain consensus on K’gari fire management.
