Next year, Hana Robinson from K’gari Adventures is planning to walk all the way from Sandy Cape to Hook Point from 3-15 October 2025, collecting rubbish every step along the way.

She is hoping not to have to do it alone! You can sign up to join her for any leg of the event provided you are fit,  motivated and prepared to push yourself every step of the way.

Each walking group will be no more than 8 people and all accommodation, transport and catering will be provided by K’gari Adventures! Yes, Hana and Mark are fully sponsoring the logistical costs of this incredible event, so that all the money raised will go toward kickstarting this ongoing project to Keep K’gari Clean.

Participants join for a minimum 3-day section of the walk with start date and locations as follows: day 1-3 Sandy Cape to Waddy Point (locals only), day 4-6 Champagne Pools to Wyuna Creek, day 6-8 Wyuna Creek to Cathedrals, day 8-10 Cathedrals to Poyungan Rocks, day 9-10 Cathedrals to Poyungan Rocks, day 10-12 Poyungan Rocks to Dilli Village, and day 12-14  Dilli Village to Hook Point.

All start and end locations are estimated to allow for 5.5kms walking on day 1, 10kms on day 2 and 4.5kms on day 3 of the walk segment. If you can’t walk, then the other way you can help is to become a sponsor. This is a great way to help maintain the K’gari Cleanups, which have collected 51,432 kg of marine debris to date!
